Reform UN is pleased to announce the opening of its Trustee Recruitment Cycle, inviting exceptional global leaders to join the institution’s highest governing body. As the Forum advances its mission to modernize the United Nations, strengthen global cooperation, and architect a future‑ready multilateral order, the Board of Trustees plays a central role in providing strategic direction, intellectual stewardship, and global legitimacy to the institution’s work.

Reform UN Project seeks distinguished individuals with demonstrated leadership in diplomacy, governance, development, peacebuilding, institutional reform, or multilateral negotiations. Trustees will join a constellation of senior diplomats, former ambassadors, global policy specialists, governance architects, peacebuilding practitioners, development strategists, youth leaders, and international cooperation experts committed to shaping the next era of global governance.

About the Role

Trustees serve as custodians of the Project’s mission and strategic vision. They provide oversight across programs, dialogues, and institutional initiatives; guide partnerships with governments, UN entities, foundations, and global institutions; and ensure the Project’s intellectual rigor, policy relevance, and global legitimacy. Trustees also support youth leadership, intergenerational diplomacy, and ACFR‑aligned governance innovation.

Eligibility Criteria

Ideal candidates demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership in diplomacy, governance, development, peacebuilding, or institutional reform

  • Recognized expertise in UN system dynamics or multilateral cooperation

  • Commitment to public service, integrity, and global responsibility

  • Ability to contribute strategic insight to the Forum’s mission

  • Alignment with future‑ready governance principles

  • Capacity to serve a three‑year renewable term

Prospective Trustees may apply or be nominated through the following pathways:
